Open Positions

Position Summary: To supervise the installation of assigned Residential New Construction jobs. Clear and concise communications with company clients, installation teams and management including keeping customers appraised as to company schedule and requested lead-time. Ensure industry leading installation through quality walks and on site installation inspections. Supervise material handling and safety guidelines are maintained

Work Hours: 6:45 am 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, some overtime, weeknights and weekends.

Pay Scale: $50-55k DOE  Salary + Commission

Qualifications:

  • Prior HVAC experience
  • Prior management/supervisory experience highly preferred
  • Must pass drug and background screens
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

  • Familiarity with safety guidelines

Job Title: Start-Up Technician

Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, some weekends and evenings

Primary Job Function: To provide start up and test on residential heating and air conditioning according to company standards providing the customer with a high quality experience.

Reports to: Install Manager

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience making repair and replace decisions.
  • Ability to acquire low voltage license within 2 years of employment.
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Acquire NATE certifications within one year of employment.
  • Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles.
  • Operate scissors and genie lifts in safe manner.
  • Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices.
  • Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques.

Work Hours: 7:00am 4:00pm with an hour lunch and overtime as needed.

Pay Scale:  $17 – $20 p/hr DOE

 Qualifications:

  • Must pass drug and background screens
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • HVAC trained with some experience preferred
  • NATE install certified or obtain within 1 year of hire
  • Understand and apply all codes for residential and light commercial

THIS POSITION REQUIRES TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE, UNDERSTAND REFRIGERANT AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ALONG WITH AIR FLOW.  THIS IS A SERVICE TECH POSITION THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE CALL.  

Work Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm, with 1 hour lunch; some weekends and evenings

Pay Scale: Up to $20 p/hr DOE

  • MUST have at EPA and TDLR
  • MUST have 2+ years experience
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Completion of HVAC training highly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques.

Job Title: Service Technician Level 5

Pay Scale: $21.00 – $35.00 / hour

Work Hours: 8 am to 5 pm; OT will be required with 1 hour lunch; alternating on-call schedule to cover 24/7 emergency service; some weekends and evenings

Primary Job Functions: To provide maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards providing the customer with a high quality experience. Assist with training Service Technicians Level 1-4. Provide feedback to Technician Service Manager regarding technical training needs, inventory and retail pricing. Participate in service meetings.

Reports to: Service Technician Manager

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid drivers license
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling License
  • Demonstrate willingness to invest in tools used in Service of HVAC equipment
  • Demonstrate willingness to invest time in service training seminars and classes
  • Work from 28′ extension ladder and 12′ stepladder
  • Meet all qualifications and have all tools required for Service Technicians Level 1-4, including ability to demonstrate working knowledge of daily, weekly, monthly skills noted below.
  • Understand and communicate benefits of preventative maintenance.
  • Demonstrate advanced customer service skills and have ability to clearly communicate ideas and explanations of problems to residential and commercial customers and co-workers
  • Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles
  • Experience in training and mentoring service technicians
  • Operate scissors and genie lifts in safe manner
  • Nate Core Certification & Specialty Certifications
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Use of tablet and smartphone daily

 

Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly Duties:

  • Purchase / Maintain required tool list for Service Technician Level 5
  • Arrive at job site at scheduled time and location as dispatched
  • Relocate from one job site to another job site as dispatched throughout the workday
  • Report to dispatcher when arriving and leaving job site
  • Operate company vehicle
  • Follow instructions from supervisor and/or dispatcher and carry out in timely manner
  • Report problems with company tools or vehicle promptly
  • Report problems with equipment to Dispatcher to expedite parts delivery
  • Communicate with customers and collect C.O.D. on maintenance visits as directed
  • Ability to work staggered schedule if required
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Complete all service-related forms properly
  • Provide all customers with new / renewal maintenance agreement program information
  • Acquire commercial and residential planned maintenance agreements
  • Inform and educate customers on additional products or services available through company
  • Inform customer of replacement options following company guidelines
  • Ability to work staggered schedule if required
  • On-call status for emergency service as required
  • Converse with facilities engineers, building and homeowners, and general contractors*
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of residential and commercial equipment, present repair and replacement options
  • Complete service repairs as approved by customer. Perform the following technical duties:
  • Advanced electrical and refrigeration principles
  • Service tools and testing devices
  • Ability to layout and install refrigeration piping
  • Ability to layout, design and install low voltage wiring
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints and make accurate material lists
  • Provide advanced diagnostic, repair and preventative maintenance on a wide range of residential and light commercial equipment without supervision
  • HVAC building code compliance
  • Advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Advanced experience in presenting repair and replacement options
  • Operation of scissors and genie lifts in safe manner
  • Basic sheet metal practices
  • Air balancing principles, techniques and diagnostics with velometer or hood
  • Calculate equipment efficiency and operating costs
  • Champion of flat-rate pricing for the team
  • Responsible for establishing technical training schedule based upon team needs for the calendar year as directed by Service Manager
  • Create & present training seminars and classes for in-house meetings as directed by Service Manager
  • Establish proper seasonal inventory for both shop and truck stock as directed by Service Manager
